Margaret “Bette” Armstrong, 91, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 28, 2017 at Atrium Senior Living of Princeton. Born in Montreal, Canada, Bette was a former resident of Summit, NJ, before moving to Lawrenceville 30 years ago. She was a parishioner at the Church of St. Ann. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed. Daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth Cotterell; wife of the late John J. “Jack" Armstrong; she is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law John J. and Mary Jo Armstrong; William H. and Maryrose Armstrong, James S. and Kirsten Armstrong and David R. and Marianne Armstrong; eight grandchildren John J., III, Peter, Patrick and his wife Dallas, Courtney, Christine, Jenny, Dorian and Amadeus; her great-grandson William Ryan; one brother and sister-in-law Arthur and Maryjane Cotterell; two sisters Anne Tighe and Jean Cotterell. Relatives and friends can call on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 10-11AM in the daily chapel at The Church of St. Ann 1253, Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM. Interment will follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Church of St. Ann 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
