Obituary of James H. Erwin

James H. Erwin, Jr., 77, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Compassionate Care Hospice @ Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, Hamilton.
Born in Bronx, NY, he was a former resident of Vermont and West Trenton, before moving to Columbus 2 years ago. Jim was a graduate of Trenton Catholic High School, attended Trenton Jr. College and Drexel University. He served in the Army National Guard Reserves. Jim retired after 38 years from the Naval Air Warfare Center in West Trenton, where he was a supervisor for many years. Some of his hobbies included gardening, cross country skiing and traveling throughout Europe, especially to his beloved Ireland. Jim was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be sorely missed.
Son of the late James H. and Elizabeth Erwin; he is survived by his wife Diane Kane Erwin; his son and daughter-in-law Jim and Sonia Erwin; his daughter and son-in-law June and Mark Reynolds; two grandchildren Alex Reynolds and Anisa Erwin; two brothers and sisters-in-law Donald and Mary Ann Erwin and Denis and Kathy Erwin; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 137 West Upper Ferry Road‚ Trenton‚ N.J. 08628. There will be no calling hours prior to the memorial mass. Attendees are asked to arrive no later than 10:45AM.
Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Penn Memory Center at the Penn Neuroscience Center Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine 3400 Civic Center Boulevard, South Pavilion, 2nd Floor Philadelphia, PA 19104.
