Virginia T. Lacey, 69, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Capital Health Medical Center, Hopewell. Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a lifelong resident of Lawrenceville. Virginia is a retiree of Princeton University after 47 years of service, where she was employed as an Special Collections Assisant, in the Marquand Library. Virginia was an avid reader and movie buff, who loved and cared for Teddy, Dixie, Blackie and many other beloved pets who had preceded them. Daughter of the late Winfield T. and Anna Marie Lacey; niece of the late Theo Carney; she is survived by her cousin and her spouse, Candice and Joseph Picarello; their children Gregory Picarello, Emily Picarello and Erin Picarello-Russo; and their grandchildren Graeme and Owen Picarello and Riley Russo. Relatives and friends can call on Saturday morning from 10-11AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Funeral services will follow at 11AM at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 9AM at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ 08610. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the local ASPCA in Virginia's name.
