Joseph Michael Redmond, 41, of Morrisville, PA, passed away on Friday, July 15 at Chandler Hall in Newtown, PA surrounded by family and friends. A Perth Amboy native who was raised in Manville, NJ, Joe lived in Ewing, NJ before settling down with his family in Morrisville nine years ago. A graduate of Manville High School class of ’93, Joe continued his education, earning a BS and an MA from the University of Hartford and additionally receiving an MA in Christian Counseling from Cairn University. He had worked as a research scientist for 15 years before recently retiring. Joe’s memory will continue to live on through his loving wife Heather Redmond, his adoring daughters Jenna, Sarah and Gabriella, his parents Joseph and Maryann Redmond, his siblings Kathleen, Karen and James, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services for Joe will be held on Wednesday, July 20 at 11am at Central: A Christ-Centered Church, 2015 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ with the Rev. Richard Gay, Senior Pastor, officiating. Committal services will be private. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19 from 4-7pm at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrence, NJ 08648. The family requests that anyone who wishes to give a gift in honor of Joe and his impact on their life to give to the Central Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 2015 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ 08618.
