Obituary of Betta Neish Elliott

Betta Neish Elliott, 87, passed away peacefully on July 3rd, 2016. She was born June 7, 1929 and grew up in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania with her parents Don and Lola Neish. She graduated from Grove City College in 1951. Betta was happily married to Dr. Frank N. Elliott for 63 years and they had three children: Bobby (deceased), Sue, and Ann. She served her community well in her 21 years of dedicated service with Frank at Rider University. Betta also served on the Children’s Auxiliary Committee at Mercer Medical Center and as a Deacon at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville. After moving to Meadow Lakes, she created and organized the Volunteer Driving Program, was a member of the Health Committee, and enjoyed her time participating in the Play Readers. Betta is survived by daughters Susan Elliott-Crespin and Ann Neish Elliott, granddaughters Sonrisa Crespin, Heather Crespin and Bethany Pierce, sons-in-law David Crespin and Thomas Pierce, brother Don, sister-in-law Florence, and many dear friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 15 at 11:00 a.m. in the auditorium at Meadow Lakes Retirement Community (300 Meadow Lakes, East Windsor, NJ 08520). Any gifts, in lieu of flowers, should be sent to either the Meadow Lakes Education Award Fund (300 Meadow Lakes, East Windsor, New Jersey 08520) or to the Frank and Betta Elliott Memorial Scholarship at Rider University (Lawrence Campus Development Office, Rider University, 2083 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
