John H. Morphet, Jr., 74, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Compassionate Care Hospice @ RWJ Hamilton with his loving daughters by his side. Jack, as he was affectionately known, was born in Bloomfield, NJ and was a resident of Lawrenceville for 42 years. He was a graduate of Bloomfield High School and NJIT. He retired from PSE&G in Newark, NJ after 37 years as an Electrical Engineer. Jack was a past member and president of the Lawrenceville Fire House. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his family. Predeceased by his parents John H. Sr. and Florence Orr Morphet, his wife Judith L. Morphet, who passed in 2013. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son Robert J. Morphet, two daughters and sons-in-law Janice A. and David J. Fox and Jodi M. and Stanley K. Hawryluk; three grandsons William H. Cook, Jr., Jonathan T. and Ryan C. Fox; his sister Sharon Hock of Brick; his nieces, nephews and their families. A Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 10-11AM at The First Presbyterian Church of Bordentown 420 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown, NJ 08505. A Memorial service will follow at 11AM. Cremation services and interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The First Presbyterian Church of Bordentown 420 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown, NJ 08505.
