Obituary of Carolyn Marie Grubb

Carolyn Marie Grubb, 76, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at home. Born in Hamilton, she resided in Lawrenceville for many years. Carolyn retired after 37 years from the East Windsor School District where she worked as a school teacher. She also volunteered with both the New Jersey and National Board of Retarded Citizens and most recently the Eggert’s Crossing Civic League where she helped children with after school studies. Carolyn enjoyed many forms of art, theater, music, and dance. She was also an avid reader with interests in a variety of subjects. Also fond of travel, she enjoyed warm winter visits to the former family residence in Florida. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna (Waladkewics) Muschal and sister of the late Michael Muschal and Rosalie Muschal-Reinhardt. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, James L. Grubb, Sr.; her children, James L. Grubb, Jr., and Michele Nelson, both of Lawrenceville; Her granddaughter, Amanda Leopardi of Williamstown, NJ, Two brothers-in law, Alfred Reinhardt of Webster, NY, and Jerry Grubb of Hilton Head, S.C and a Sister-in-Law, Judi Muschal of Hamilton, NJ. She’s also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great-great niece. Along with her loving family, she is also survived by her two close friends Yvonne Johnson, and Francis Jones both of Lawrenceville, NJ Calling hours will be Friday, March 4, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm at Poulson and Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Rd., Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Services will be held during that time. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
