Jean J. Corso, 80, of Robbinsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, Jean was a longtime resident of Trenton, before moving to Robbinsville 16 years ago. Jean worked for many years as a bookkeeper with Plentiful Acres in Kingston and later retired from Five Star Foods in Trenton. Jean was a longtime parishioner at St. Anthony’s Church. Her passion was cooking, never needing a recipe, and the joy of watching you over indulge. Other interests included crocheting, spending time with her friends and family in Atlantic City and most of all sharing life with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Daughter of the late Carl Scott and Florence Sparano; wife of the late James R. Corso; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Donna and Joe Travea; her son and daughter-in-law Carl and Gina Corso; her grandchildren and their spouses Carl and Michelle Corso, Anthony Corso, Vincent and Nicole Travea; her great grandchildren Mateo, Harper and Santino.
Funeral services will begin on Tuesday morning at 10AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM at St. Anthony Church 626 So. Olden Ave. Hamilton, NJ 08629.
Interment will follow at Ewing Cemetery.
Family and friends can call for Jean on Monday, February 29, 2016 from 6-8PM and again on Tuesday morning from 9-10AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
