Obituary of Anne Loretta Brant

Anne L. Brant, 95, died peacefully on Sunday, March 9, in Columbia , SC. Born in Jersey City, NJ, she formerly resided in Medford Lakes, NJ and Lawrenceville, NJ. She most recently was lovingly cared for in Columbia, SC. Anne was an honor graduate of St. Aloysius High School in Jersey City, NJ and the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Manhatten. She worked briefly in a dental office in New York City before beginning a family with her husband Jim. She raised five children while moving through several states with her husband’s career with RCA. Anne was an avid golfer, gardener, and always enjoyed swimming in Medford Lakes and vacationing at their second home in Anglesea, NJ. Daughter of the late Stephen and Marietta (Bues) Greene, and wife of the late James J. Brant, she is survived by five children: James Stephen Brant (Wendy), Richard Thomas Brant (MaryJane), Lois Anne DeMoss (Thomas), Patricia Ellen England (William Lesyna), and Regina Mary Bradford (Charles) as well as her sister Doris Doheny. She was also loved by ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Anne on Friday at 11 AM at the Church of St. Ann. 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceville Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 9:30 to 11 AM in the daily chapel at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to their favorite charity.
