Kathryn C. Glenn, 86, a long time resident of Seaside Park, passed away at the Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center on Thursday. Born in Trenton and raised in the Hopewell and Princeton areas with six brothers and sisters, Kathryn dedicated her life to taking care of others. Kathryn received her Registered Nursing degree from St. Peter’s Nursing School in New Brunswick, NJ. After graduation she worked at the Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, Donnelly Hospital in Hamilton and various nursing homes in the Mercer and Ocean County areas. She also worked for the Doctors Hafitz office in Trenton. Kathryn retired from the Ocean County Health Department at the age of 62. Kathryn was a former Senior Regent of the Women’s Auxiliary Moose Lodge #399 of Ortley Beach, New Jersey. Last year the lodge honored her with a special award for 40 years of service. She was also a member of the Seniors Nutritional Center in Lavallette and the American Legion in Seaside Heights. Daughter of the late John S. and Helen Callahan Connor, and mother of the late Kathleen A. Glenn, she is survived by her daughters, Mary Caruso and her husband Ronald A. of Lawrenceville, and Ann Glenn of Richmond, VA; her sons, James J. Glenn and his wife Marlene of Trenton, and Stephen M. Glenn and his wife Cathe of Barnegat; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Charles J. Connor and his wife Carole of Warminster, PA, and Stephen Connor and his wife Marianne of Hamilton; a goddaughter and niece, Marianne Hohman and her husband Kim of Levittown, PA, as well as several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Kathryn on Monday at 12 noon at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call on Monday from 10 AM to 12 Noon in the daily chapel at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a memorial contribution to Mooseheart, c/o Mr. Gary Urwiler, Executive Director, Mooseheart Child City and School, 240 J. Davis Drive, Mooseheart, Illinois 60539.
