Obituary of Mildred E. Darling

Mildred E. Darling, 97, of Pennington died on Sunday at Capital Health System at Hopewell, following a brief and sudden illness. Born and raised in Trenton, she was a Pennington resident most of her life. Mildred had been employed at General Motors for several years up until she and her late husband started a family. Mildred was a lifelong member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Trenton. She was also a member of the Trenton Chapter of the Needlework Guild of America and the Leisure Club of Hopewell. Daughter of the late James M. and Stella W. Bleasdale Fenton, and wife of the late William Darling, she is survived by her two daughters; Lynette Darling, and Patricia D. Kendig and her husband Richard, her son, Charles H. Darling and his wife Martha, her grandchildren; Scott Pellinger, Charles, William, and Cynthia Darling, eight great grandchildren, many cousins and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Trenton. Burial will be in the Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing. Friends may call on Tuesday (today) from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
