Current NJM Employee, Anonymous... I knew Chris only a bit but know that many thought the world of him. Chris is thought of or mentioned on a regular basis at NJM, 6+ years later, and is still missed.

To Christopher,
I am best friends with your daughter and I just wanted to say that you would be proud of how she has become a wonderful young girl. She misses you a great deal and she has told me about all of the wonderful things you did for her. You were a good man and I would've loved to shake your hand the first time I went over to your daughters house. Today is your birthday sir, and I hope that you are doing well up there in heaven because you were a good man and I will always be there for your daughter, no matter what I promise. Im going to do everything I can to try and be like you. I could never replace you but the least I can do it try. Your daughter, natalie... told me that the one thing about your passing that she is most upset about is the fact that you will never get to walk her down the aisle at her wedding. I promised your daughter I would be there for her and I would walk her down the aisle. I love your daughter sir. She means everything to me. And I just wanted to give my prayers to you. Rest in peace sir. You were a good man and I will try to do my best to be like you and I will be there for your daughter. Always.

When Chris played soccer at UNC his nickname was "Ox", which came from the movie "Stripes". Chris was strong, honest, lovable, talented and very hard working on the soccer field. I'm sure he was the same before and after we played together. We all miss him.

I had heard that Chris was sick a few months before he passed and was fortunate to share an email with him. I met Chris when we were Freshmen together at UNC. Despite not seeing each other since that time I always remembered him with great happiness. He was a good friend and someone that I feel blessed to have known.

Mika, Madeline & Natalie,
I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that Chris was loved and appreciated by so many people. Chris' friendships extended well beyond the average circle of friends that most people have. But what is really special is the way you three ladies have shared him with the rest of us so that we could all, to some degree, have him in our life as a friend, colleague, neighbor, team mate, and any other capicity he could fill. Thanks for sharing him with all of us. I'll never forget him or you.

We had the pleasure of getting to know Chris when he coached my daughter basketball team . It was Giovanna's first time playing, she knew nothing about the gme,but with Chris's sweet ways and amazing patients he allowed my daughter to find, what became, her lifes passion...Basketball. Chris touched so many lives in the time that he was with us,most people live a whole lifetime and never have the ability to make such an impact. Chris was taken way to early, but it is not only important the day one is born or when one passes but rather what one does in the time he is here. Chris, job well done. Our condolences to his family..you were blessed.
